摘要

Ethereum is currently the most widely used smart contract platform. The security of tens of thousands of smart contracts depends on the security of Ethereum itself. The underlying peer-to-peer network provides a reliable node connection mechanism, while efficient data sharing protocol is the premise of Blockchain network security. In this paper, we use the simulation technology to implement an Ethereum network detector named NodeHunter. It can collect all node records in the network and the connection relationship between nodes. Based on connection information between nodes, it can obtain more comprehensive data to analyze the network status than previous detection methods. During a quarter of continuous monitoring of the Ethereum network, we have obtained a total of more than 2 million node records and more than 100 million node acquaintances. By analyzing the collected data, we found that more than 49% of the node records are maliciously forged.
