Analysis of Mechanical Performance of Hip Joint During Exercise
摘要
Estimation of stress and strain distributions in a hip joint during activities of daily exercise is important to predict the joint degeneration mechanism, providing biomechanical guidance for sports-injury surgery and rehabilitation. In this study, first, a three-dimensional solid model of a hip joint is obtained with CT scanning, with bone tissues divided into hard and soft ones. Then, the surface of the model is smoothed with software, and a three-dimensional finite-element model with two types of bones of the hip joint is developed in the software, with the muscles simplified as forces acting in the model. Under the joint action of bones and muscles, finally, various parameters are calculated for the bones, including, the stress and strain distributions. The levels of forces and deformation in the hip joint are analysed for different motion states of the human body. The study’s conclusions can provide a theoretical reference for motion planning and treatments of sports injuries.
