Investigation of Low-Power Directional Button Antenna for Fusion Networks of Grid Communication
摘要
A low-power directional button antenna loaded with the metamaterial is proposed for the Fusion Networks of grid communication. This antenna consists of a fed microstrip line, a monopole loaded with a top dielectric and a irregular metamaterial structure, which is placed on the side of microstrip line. The distance between the metamaterial and the monopole is 0.06λ_0 making it as a compact antenna structure with directional radiation, and the size of loaded metamaterial is reduced by adopting the irregular one. The realized gain is up to 5.03 dBi so that it can be used for electromagnetic environment monitoring, positioning etc. combining with the present 5G application.
