摘要

This paper focuses on characterizing the soft skills of professionals in the field of communication, both at the academic and professional levels, to understand the current impact of soft skills. In pursuit of this objective, the research identifies soft skills among the competencies and skills defined for audiovisual communication professionals in the White Paper on Communication, published by National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation of Spain (ANECA). Once organized and classified, it analyses their alignment with the job requirements posted on online employability platforms. The study is exploratory in nature, aiming to establish differences or similarities in the categorization of soft skills between the academic world and the labour market, specifically in relation to the professional profile of audiovisual communication. The conclusions highlight the need to redefine education, emphasizing the importance of interpersonal competences to tackle the new employability challenges.
