摘要

With lung cancer as the leading cause of cancer-related mortality, screening with low-dose computed tomography (CT) scan has resulted in earlier detection and has led to a decrease in lung cancer mortality. Adults aged 50–80 years with a 20 pack-year smoking history and who are current smokers or have quit within the last 15 years are candidates for annual screening with a low-dose computed tomography scan.
