Chest Wall Tumors

Chest wall tumors are a heterogenous group of benign and malignant tumors. They include tumors that arise primarily from chest wall tissue, tumors that invade from adjacent structures, or metastatic lesions. These tumors are best managed by multidisciplinary teams. Key to management of most lesions is early diagnosis and surgical resection with adequate margins. Chemotherapy and radiation play a role in the management of certain tumors. Varying degrees of postoperative respiratory dysfunction are encountered frequently.
