Spontaneous Pneumothorax

A pneumothorax occurs when air is introduced in the intrapleural space and leads to loss of visceral and parietal pleural apposition. This chapter discusses the anatomy, pathogenesis, evaluation, and treatment of spontaneous pneumothorax.
