Diagnostic imaging has increasingly become a linchpin in modern medicine. Particularly in specialties with a strong emphasis on anatomy, such as surgery, fluency with the identification, interpretation, and communication of radiologic findings are essential in clinical practice. The following is an overview of how chest imaging is utilized in thoracic surgery to delineate structures and assess pathology.
