Rabbit Viral Diseases (II): Other Viruses

This chapter focuses on viral diseases of rabbits which, compared with myxomatosis and rabbit haemorrhagic disease have a lower pathogenic impact, lower associated morbidity and mortality or are rarely observed However, they may cause severe disease in association with other viral or nonviral agents Rabbitpox, rabbit (Shope) fibroma virus, papillomavirus, rotavirus, coronavirus, parvovirus, herpesvirus, and rabies, are reported under the headings. The main aspects of etiology, epidemiology, pathogenesis and clinical signs, laboratory diagnosis, control, and prevention are highlighted.
