Diseases of the Pituitary Gland, Master Regulator of Endocrine Organs
摘要
The pituitary gland is as small as a pea, but despite its small size it is the master regulator of the endocrine system. It is found at the base of the brain to which it is connected by a thin stalk. The pituitary is located in a bone cavity called “Sella turcica” by its Latin name (Turkish saddle in English).
