On the Issue of Creep of Hollow Cylinders under Normal Pressure

The article presents the derivation of a resolving equation for determining residual stresses in a polymer cylinder at internal pressure, taking into account the creep of the material. The process of residual deformation of a hollow cylinder is considered, taking into account changes in stresses and deformations over time. Finally, the problem is reduced to an integro-differential equation of the second order with respect to the stress function. The solution of this equation is performed by the finite difference method in combination with the Euler method. The solution of the test problem for a polymer cylinder whose material obeys the generalized nonlinear Maxwell equation is given. Graphs of changes in time of normal stresses and deformations are presented. It is established that the ratio of elastic and residual deformations at different time points is significantly different.
