Removal of Contaminants from an Aqueous Solution by a Magnetic Field Using the Effect of Focusing Ionic Impurities

摘要

The possibility of using the effect of focusing liquid impurities in the volume of the paraboloid of rotation under the influence of an electromagnetic field for high-quality cleaning of the liquid and their removal from the main flow is considered. It has been proved theoretically and confirmed experimentally that due to the simultaneous action of Lorentz and Larmor forces, the trajectory of impurities changes to a conical-helical one and corresponds to the paraboloid of rotation according to the Ulysses Dini equation. Thanks to this, it became possible to effectively remove the volume of focused impurities from the main stream of purified liquid. It was found experimentally that with an increase in the current in the inductor from 1 to 2 A, the radius of the focusing trajectory of ions (such as chlorine) decreases from 0.022 to 0.012 m, and the diameter of the focusing paraboloid decreases from 0.057 to 0.032 m. The mathematical model and the conducted experiments allow to calculate the parameters and control modes of the process of focusing polluting impurities and removing them from the purified volume of liquid. The conducted studies confirm the possibility of using the effect of focusing liquid impurities into a paraboloid of rotation under the action of an electromagnetic field for high-quality cleaning of the water flow and removing the volume with concentrated impurities from it.
