Adsorption of Oil Products by Natural Sorbents
摘要
In this chapter the problem of pollution of the natural environment with used oils is considered. Environmental safety when using lubricants is inseparable from their disposal, which currently causes the most significant negative impact on the atmosphere, soil and water. Restoring the properties of used oils and their reuse is of great importance for the economy of Ukraine: it ensures a real saving of the country's resources. It prevents the environmental threat of petroleum products from entering the environment. Considering the current state of Ukraine, it is expedient to introduce a complex of legal, organizational and technological measures to prevent pollution of the natural environment by using motor oils. The work aims to develop a complex of legal, organizational and technological measures to prevent pollution of the natural environment by using motor oils. Research methods include determining the physical characteristics of spent engine oils according to the relevant standards. The Dean-Stark method was used to determine the water content in the spent engine oils. The photocolorimetry method was used to determine the range of petroleum products, resins and asphaltenes, the weight method was used to determine the content of mechanical impurities, and the mineral composition of the sorbent was determined by the X-ray phase analysis method.
