Basic statistics is essential in Six Sigma applications in order to be able to measure and analyze the essential elements of the measured data that relates to the six-sigma problem on hand. In this section basic statistics concepts such as mean value, standard deviation, range, median, and probability concepts for discrete and continuous distributions are covered.
