Purification Techniques

Insufficient organ function inevitably leads to the loss of the depurative/metabolic capacity to which that organ is deputed. In this case, and especially in the critically ill patient in the ICU, it is essential to carry out a purification through the use of dedicated filters that can normalize the parameters altered by the organ dysfunction and, through this depurative bridge phase, allow the restoration of the native function of the organ itself. This can result in the reversibility of the pathology, or if it chronicizes, chronic purification can be considered.
