Summary
摘要
This chapter summarizes the content of this book, including recollection of response features and feature-based design in the context of local and global parametric optimization, multi-criterial design, uncertainty quantification, and general-purpose surrogate modeling. We discuss the computational and reliability-related advantages of response feature approaches, implementation issues, limitations of the technology along with possible mitigation methods, as well as extensions. The latter are mainly pertinent to various generalizations of the response feature concept but also automation of characteristic point extraction and feature-based design procedures.
