The Covid Dynamic – In the Hospital and in Society

Corona Pandemic, Human Rights, Global Health Ethics and a need to overcome traditional Psychosomatics‚ Corona’ stands for more than an illness and its symptoms. Beyond interpersonal relations between patient and physician, it is a dramatic challenge for professions, communities, societies and humanity as a whole. However, while the whole world tried to find answers to combat the pandemic other threats occurred: war in Eastern Europe, danger of a nuclear world war, climate catastrophe, economic warfare, hunger, isolation, inflation, poverty and social disturbances. Therefore, Corona has become ONE aspect beside many others, while all of them merge to a fundamental existential disruption. Global health concepts and Global Health Ethics are urgently needed for orientation, while traditional psychosomatics must be overcome by an integrative medical anthropology.
