Ultrasound-Guided Vascular Access
摘要
This comprehensive chapter establishes the pivotal role of point-of-care ultrasound in vascular access for anesthesiologists and emergency physicians. By providing real-time visualization and guidance, POCUS enhances the success rates of peripheral and central venous catheterization, improves patient safety, and reduces procedural complications. The authors outline the essential vascular anatomy relevant to vascular access, including the identification of arteries, veins, and their anatomical variations. Embracing this valuable technology has the potential to optimize vascular access procedures, streamline patient care, and ultimately improve overall clinical outcomes in both anesthesiology and emergency medicine.
