Reverse Entrepreneurship

  • Rajagopal

摘要

Reverse entrepreneurship is associated with reverse migration which stimulates investment in the local entrepreneurial activities with business potential. Often, long-standing and intensive engagement returned migrant communities in their countries of origin produces significant flows of capital, network relations, knowledge and technology, and political support. Researchers in the past have studied the significance of such communities for home countries in ambivalent terms. However, the ‘classic’ brain drain versus investment into the reverse entrepreneurship equation has come to be replaced by a much more differentiated and complex relationship between countries and their diasporas. Accordingly, this chapter discusses the role of reverse migration in stimulating investment in local enterprises and promote reverse innovation through technology transfer. Upstream business modeling and creativity management to strengthen the entrepreneurial performance have also been discussed in this chapter.
