摘要

The potential for nature-based healing pathways to promote physical, mental, and emotional repair has received a lot of attention. Tourists have a closer connection to nature and the restorative advantages of medicinal flora by adding medicinal plant walks into recreational development. This chapter discusses the development of healing trails as a revolutionary ecotherapy technique and continues to study its many features. Incorporating cultural history and traditional medical knowledge along these pathways strengthens communities’ relationships with their natural environments. Healing trials that combine indigenous medicinal approaches not only help to preserve historical knowledge but also promote responsible plant usage and conservation. As more urban green spaces and parks are added, the positive impact on the well-being of city dwellers becomes more obvious. Furthermore, research into the combining of medicinal plant walks with other healing techniques provides a promising path toward a holistic approach to health. However, keeping historical relics secure, welcoming all people, and adhering to ethical foraging techniques provide challenges and concerns along these roads. Implementing high-quality certification programs is critical for tackling these difficulties. This protects the integrity of healing paths, prioritizes trail user safety, and defends fragile habitats. The chapter concludes with a suggestion to use universal design principles to construct healing paths that are accessible to persons with impairments and from varied cultural backgrounds.
