Global Overview on Ethnobotany in North Africa and Levant Region
摘要
The North Africa and Levant region are situated in an important geographical location at the intersection of Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, Central Asia, and South Asia. Due to this close geographical proximity to these areas, the North Africa and Levant share an unlimited historical and cultural experience. The North Africans and the Levantine exhibit a high level of cultural diversity as a result of their extensive ethnohistory with indigenous cultural complexes that ruled the area in the past. There were also several peripheral civilizations, such as those of the desert, Asia, and Europe that shaped the socioculture of this region (Gritzner 2021).
