Enzyme Production
摘要
The choice of a host organism is crucial for enzyme production. We provide an overview of the limiting factors in protein biosynthesis that influence the biotechnological production of enzymes. The advantages and disadvantages of the prokaryotic and eukaryotic (micro)organisms commonly used for enzyme production are described, and we explain how to handle an organism to produce a heterologous protein or enzyme. Finally, we briefly list problems in biotechnological enzyme production and their solutions and possibilities for optimization.
