Kernel and Trace Relations

With this chapter, we initiate a systematic study of the structure of the lattice \(\mathcal {L}(\mathcal{C}\mathcal{R})\) . We start by designing and studying the properties of various decompositions of \(\mathcal {L}(\mathcal{C}\mathcal{R})\) . These are effected by defining various relations which turn out to be complete congruences, so that their classes are intervals, at least some of which may have strong properties.
