Further Reflections on the Principle of Opposites, the Variety Space and Knowing in the Space of Ontological-Epistemological Duality

Chapter 7 of this monograph presents some important discussions and reflections on comparative analytics about the differences and similarities of the ontological principle of opposites in the ontological space and epistemological principle of opposites in epistemological space. It is argued that the principle of opposites is composed of a system of dualities and polarities. There is the system of key opposites of dualities and polarities, and a system of supporting opposites of dualities and polarities which are defined and specified. The key aggregate opposites which are common to both the ontological and epistemological spaces are positive–negative dualities, input–output dualities, and identification-transformation dualities, where the ontological space contains the space of actual-potential dualities and epistemological space contains the space of imagination-reality dualities.
