The Theory of Epistemic Transversality Conditions Over the Space of Ignorance-Knowledge Dualities and Polarities

摘要

In this chapter of this monograph presents discussions on the theory of epistemic transversality conditions which relate to dynamic optimality of epistemic journeys between duals of duality and poles of polarity to obtain stopping rules of the epistemic journeys. The epistemic transversality conditions are made up of identification transversality conditions and transformation transversality conditions. The identification transversality conditions define the stopping rule for the cognitive journey to obtain the variety identity that reveals the inherent necessity, conditions of being and the knowledge about the variety at static state, where the varieties are made up of states and processes with properties and relations in the space of identification-transformation dualities. The transformation transversality conditions define the terminal state of the journey between variety ignorance and variety knowledge, variety problem to variety solution, variety question to variety answer and, variety cost to variety benefit presenting the conditions when variety knowledge is found for the replacement of variety ignorance or a variety solution is found to replace variety problem or variety answer is found to replace variety question over the spaces of dualities and polarities. The transversality conditions are related to cost–benefit marginal conditions of knowing as the production of intellectual investment flows and information-knowledge accumulation as the production of intellectual capital stock, where thinking-reasoning processes are the vehicles of the journeys within and between dualities and polarities in the space of dualistic-polar structures. The epistemic transversality conditions are then related to telescopic past, present and future in all neuro-decision-choice processes and used to partition the knowing space into zones of knowledge and ignorance or zones of problems and zones of solutions leading to the discussions of their utility in neuro decision-choice space. A definition is provided and its relationship to the principle of opposites with relational continuum and unity are discussed and linked to fuzzy paradigm of thought where ignorance and knowledge are mutually constraining. The chapter is concluded with discussions linked with asantrofi-anoma problem, conditions, and rationality to provide computational understandings of epistemic transversality conditions in cognitive dynamics within ignorance-knowledge and problem–solution situations. The definition and discussions of the asantrofi-anoma principle and rationality are provided.
