Arithmetic for Deep Learning

Machine learning has an ever increasing impact on many applications. This chapter studies the specific arithmetic requirements of deep neural networks (DNNs)deep neural network. The underlying number formats are considered in the context of DNNsdeep neural network and their training. DNN-specific arithmetic implementation issues are also discussed, with a focus on inference.
