Endovascular Repair of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms (EVAR): Studies on Long-term Results
摘要
The comparison of 30-day all-cause mortality between open repair and endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) in the major randomized trials has shown a remarkable difference in favor of EVAR. However, this difference vanished over the years along with an increase in secondary interventions for EVAR patients. In principle, societal recommendations are still pro EVAR, guiding, however, towards a patient-oriented decision, taking into consideration life expectancy and patient’s opinion.
