Introduction to Transcarotid Artery Revascularization
摘要
An 80-year-old female presented to the office with an episode of right-sided amaurosis fugax. The patient stated that this occurred 2 weeks ago for the first time, and for about 1 min she could not see through her right eye. She went to her ophthalmologist for evaluation, and upon further examination he referred her for a vascular consult. Her past medical history was remarkable for hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and hyperlipidemia. She denied any prior history of stroke or transient ischemic attack.
