Optimization of the Parameters of Robotized TIG Welding of an Aluminum Alloy

摘要

The present work focuses on improving the welding parameters of AA 1050 aluminum alloy welds through a AC mixed wave tungsten inert gas (TIG) robotic welding process. The GRAY-Taguchi method was used to optimize the robotic welding process parameters to improve several weld joint properties. The optimized weld joint properties are appearance, width, thickness and penetration. By applying the GRAY-Taguchi multi-objective optimization method, an optimal combination of welding parameters was obtained.
