摘要

In High-Speed Milling (HSM) of complex shapes with local smoothing, the tool path is defined by a set of linear and polynomial blocks. Each interpolation mode is characterized by its motion laws and kinematic limits. The machining accuracy is mainly related to the kinematic parameter profile and machine dynamic behavior along the trajectory defined in the CN file. The present paper allows for the study of the effect of the axis acceleration along the programmed tool path on the contour’s error. The experimental tests showed that the axis following error evolves at the same rate as the NC machine axis acceleration. Furthermore, the polynomial interpolation mode causes a contour’s error to be lower than that in the case of the G01 interpolation mode.
