摘要

Supra50 is a Fe-Ni alloy with an excellent heat resistance property proven by preserving its rigidity, strength, toughness, and dimensional stability even at very high temperatures. As a result, it is widely used in the manufacture of high-precision aerospace parts. Mainly, the required surface roughness of this kind of parts is difficult to be overcome in the industry. Indeed, the micro-cracks created by the various machining operations as well as the repetitive stresses applied to these parts can lead to their premature damage. Consequently, manufacturers are faced with the challenge of finding different methodologies to improve the machinability of these alloys without affecting their workshop productivity and impacting production costs. The objective of this investigation is to carry out a relationship between roughness and machining parameters based on experimental method during milling of the Supra50 Iron-Nickel alloy.
