Built Integrated Photovoltaic Application (BIPV): The Dutch Situation
摘要
Power grid-connected buildings with their PV panels, BIPV (built integrated photovoltaic applications) offer opportunities for RES integration. The Dutch government targets that new buildings should be energy-neutral and reduce greenhouse gas emissions significantly by 2050. The government plans to increase solar implementation in buildings specifically. The meteorological data of the country prove that BIPV is a good possibility in the Netherlands and as a result, there is already relatively much-installed PV in the buildings. Different interesting from the past and some recent examples as well as a more detailed description of an iconic project show the potential of BIPV systems. It proves the huge future potential for more sustainable energy production in the Netherlands, as well as the possible new architectural expression of the combination of nature and technology.
