Spatial and Temporal Analysis of Ecological Vulnerability in Lijiang River Watershed by Considering Its “Production-Living-Ecological” Functions

Ecological vulnerability (EV) is one of the hotspots in the research of ecological civilization construction and sustainable development. Most existing watershed ecological vulnerability researches suffer from the following limitations: (1) The coupling theory of evaluation indicators is still not comprehensive. (2) The application of the trajectory models is constrained by terrain factors and the scope of the study area. According to above problems, we proposed a comprehensive framework of “production-living-ecological” functions (PLEFs) to analyze spatiotemporal changes of the ecological vulnerability in Lijiang River watershed from 2009 to 2019, and proposed a new trajectory model which integrates the constellation clustering method and the gravity center model to analyze the migration trajectory of the ecological vulnerability. The results show that: (1) The mean value of ecological vulnerability index (EVI) in the study area showed a trend of first rising and then falling, and the number of moderately and severely vulnerable zones increased and decreased respectively. (2) The coordinates of ecological vulnerability moved from southwest to northeast from 2009 to 2014, and moved to the southeast after 2014. This study aims to provide a new evaluation idea for the study on the ecological vulnerability of watershed, and promote the sustainable development of the watershed.
