The Habitat Suitability of Sepiella maindroni in the Coastal Areas of the Fujian and Zhejiang Provinces Based on the MaxEnt Model
摘要
Sepiella maindroni have great economic value, most of which are distributed in the coastal areas of Fujian and Zhejiang provinces. In recent years, production has decreased due to overfishing, habitat destruction, etc. To quantitatively explore the impacts of multiple environmental factors on the S. maindroni distribution, and predict the regional spatial pattern of S. maindroni habitat suitability and restoration potential, the MaxEnt model was applied to assess the habitat suitability of Sepiella maindroni in the Fujian and Zhejiang provinces adjacent sea to analyze the restoration potential. The results showed that the major factors that affected the distribution of S. maindroni were salinity, light intensity, and temperature. The areas with higher suitability and restoration potential are mainly located in the Zhoushan-Ningbo Sea area and Taizhou Sea area of Zhejiang Province and other parts are distributed in the offshore waters of Ningde City Fujian Province and extend to the south. The area of suitable area is 140,294 km2, and the high suitable area is 44,198 km2. It proves that S. maindroni has great restoration potential. It is conducive to protecting ecology and promoting fishery development to protect the potential habitat of S. maindroni.
