Study on the Distribution and Occurrence of Mercury in Songhe Coal Mine

The mercury content in Songhe coal mine was determined by aqua regia water bath ablation-atomic fluorescence photometry, and the fugitive state of mercury in Songhe coal mine was studied by float and sink test and step-by-step chemical extraction. The results showed that the Hg content in Songhe coal mine was 0.21 μg/g, which is a low Hg coal, close to the average Hg content in Chinese coal, and about twice of the average Hg content in the world coal. The mercury in Songhe coal mine coal has organic affinity, and the mercury is positively correlated with low Si and weakly positively correlated with Fe and Ca. The mercury content in various states is in the following order: organic bound state > residue state > exchangeable state > carbonate bound state > residue state.
