Research Progress of Coal Gasification Simulation Based on Aspen Plus

As the concern of global warming and energy demand increasing, coal gasification shows its potential as a clean and efficient coal utilization method. The modeling method of coal gasification model based on Aspen Plus is briefly introduced, including the equilibrium model based on the minimum Gibbs free energy and the kinetic model based on reaction kinetics. The research shows that the Aspen Plus kinetic model based on reaction kinetics can better predict the actual working conditions than the equilibrium model.
