Study on Technological Mineralogy Analysis and Pretreatment of Arsenic-Bearing Refractory Gold Concentrate

The gold grade of an arsenic-bearing gold concentrate is 42.13 g/t and the arsenic content is 3.89%. Under the conventional cyanide leaching system, the gold leaching rate is low, only about 75%. In order to search for a better recovery of gold from refractory gold concentrate containing arsenic after pretreatment and to improve the gold leaching effect, the process mineralogy and pretreatment of gold concentrate containing arsenic were studied. Through the analysis of process mineralogy, it is found that the gold is mainly in the form of fine particles, about 60% of which are less than 5 μm, and are mostly embedded in pyrite or arsenopyrite. The results show that the leaching rate of gold is up to 96% and the recovery rate is increased by 20%.
