Application of Zoned Cooling Technology to Working Face

Aimed at the serious high-temperature heat damage on the 1221 long-distance working face in Panyidong Mine, the author calculated the cooling demand of the working face, analyzed the airflow temperature field distribution of the working face, and put forward a zoned cooling technology applied to the 1221 working face. The structural composition, working principle, and equipment selection of the cooling technology were introduced, and the technology was put into practice. The thermal parameters of airflow after cooling were measured on-site, and a similarity simulation was carried out. The results showed that, after the zoned cooling technology was adopted, the measured airflow parameters were basically consistent with the simulated values, the temperature of the working face decreased by about 6 ~ 8 °C on average, and the relative humidity was also reduced greatly, indicating an obvious cooling effect.
