Study on the Optimization of EUR Evaluation Method for Gas Wells in Mizhi Gas Field

Natural gas is closely related to human survival and social development. Under the background of “carbon neutrality” and “gasification of China”, natural gas plays an increasingly important role in China's national economy. EUR is the key parameter to evaluate the development benefit of gas reservoirs, but it is always a difficult problem to predict the long-term production performance of gas fields and to estimate the EUR value. The selected evaluation method determines the reliability of the prediction results. In this paper, taking the Mizhi gas field as the research object, based on analyzing the actual geology and production situation of the Mizhi gas field, material balance method, production instability analysis method, production decline method, elastic two-phase method, and well test analysis method are used to evaluate the single well EUR of the research block. Finally, the objects, required data, and applicable conditions of different evaluation methods are compared and analyzed, and a set of EUR evaluation methods that is most suitable for the Mizhi gas field is selected. The research work of this paper makes clear the applicability of the evaluation method of gas reservoir EUR and has very important guiding significance for the optimization of the evaluation method of gas reservoir EUR.
