Study on Evolution of Droplet Breakup Under Shock Wave

In this paper, the evolution characteristics of droplet breakup under shock wave were studied. Based on the shock tube theory, the FLUENT was used to simulate the droplet breakup process. The morphological characteristics of droplet in shear breakup mode were obtained. The shock tube experiment was carried out. The viscosity curve of glycerol aqueous solution with temperature and density was measured. The shock wave velocity at the mouth of the tube showed an approximate exponential decreasing trend, and the shock Mach number change curve was obtained by fitting. The influence of droplet viscosity, diameter and shock wave Mach number on droplet breakup process was analyzed, and the evolution of droplet breakup under shock wave was obtained.
