Study on Attenuation Effect of Shock Wave Using Water Curtain

The shock wave attenuation test of water curtain was designed to simulate the blast wave through the shock wave generated by the tube. By analyzing the shock wave characteristics of the shock tube, it is concluded that the shock wave pressure attenuation law of the tube mouth has a good consistency with the shock wave pressure attenuation law, which can simulate the explosion shock wave through the shock wave of the tube mouth. The physical image of the interaction between the shock wave and the water curtain is established by analyzing the high-speed photographic image, and the mechanism of the diffracted wave when the shock wave acts on the water curtain is obtained. By analyzing the test data of the peak pressure, the pressure attenuation law of the interaction between shock wave and water curtain is obtained. The pressure attenuation rate obtained by the test is as low as 45.52% and as high as 93.39%. The test proves that the water curtain has a good attenuation effect on shock wave.
