Categorial Dividedness, General Analytical Space, the Characteristic-Signal Fields, the Epistemic Fields, the Relational Fields, and the Information Fields

This chapter provides the understanding of the interactive relations among the phenomena of categorial dividedness, the general analytical space, the characteristic-signal field, and its connectivity to the epistemic field as supported by the corresponding relational and information fields. The objective is to show how thought and practice are integrated to relate variety imaginations to variety realities with further understanding of how the possibility space and probability space are contained in the space of imagination to present the space of necessity-freedom dualities and how they are related to knowing and the information-knowledge processes as stock-flow disequilibrium dynamics. The chapter provides relevant definition and characteristic dispositions of the information-knowledge system from the space of problem–solution dualities and how the indicator functions are used to construct categories of areas of knowing with interdisciplinary dynamics as well as epistemic spaces. From the indicator functions three epistemic fields are presented as \(\left( {\left( {\sigma } \right){\text{-field or}}\;\left( {\sigma } \right){\text{-algebra}}} \right) \) induced by the classical indicator function \(\left( {\left( {\alpha {\text{-field}}} \right){\text{ or }}\left( {\alpha {\text{-algebra}}} \right)} \right) \) induced by the fuzzy indicator function and \(\left( {\left( {\gamma {\text{-field}}} \right){ - }} \right) \) or \(\left( {\gamma {\text{-algebra}}} \right) \) . or (gamma-algebra))induced from the characteristic-signal disposition with hybrids of \(\left( {\left( {{\sigma - \gamma }} \right){\text{-field}}} \right)\) , and \(\left( {\left( {{\alpha - \gamma }} \right){\text{-field}}} \right) \) . The chapter provides a framework for understanding diversity and unity in knowing and information-knowledge development, institutional constructs, and departmental creations in relation to all areas within the space problem–solution dualities contained in the space of actual-potential dualities.
