Robotic Transabdominal Preperitoneal Inguinal Hernia Repair (rTAPP)
摘要
Inguinal hernia repair is one of the most commonly performed procedures worldwide. Since the introduction of minimally invasive surgery, transabdominal preperitoneal (TAPP) repair has gained acceptance for the treatment of inguinal hernia. Recently, the introduction of robotic surgical platforms has increased surgeons’ enthusiasm by promising potential benefits not only for complex surgical procedures but also for robotic TAPP, especially for most complex cases and for training purposes. In this chapter, we highlight operative room setup, instrumentation, and surgical technique for robotic TAPP together with a brief literature overview.
