Exploring the Influence of Psychological Burnout and Compassion Fatigue on Turnover Intentions in Egypt’s Governmental Nursing Sector

摘要

The study examines the relationships between psychological burnout, compassion fatigue, and turnover intentions among Egyptian government-employed nurses. Specifically, four hypotheses are tested: Using a combination of empirical descriptive and analytic methods, including database surveying, qualitative research approaches, and a field survey, data were collected from a sample of 365 nursing staff members representing various responsibilities in the public sector. The researchers found that; All four hypotheses are supported by the findings, which demonstrate the complex interaction between psychological burnout, compassion fatigue, and turnover intentions in the nursing profession in Egypt’s public sector. Considering these results, the researchers discussed the theoretical and practical implications and their insights for future research.
