Genetic Association Studies and Next Generation Sequencing in Stroke: Methods
摘要
The last two decades have witnessed an explosion in the use of different methods to dissect out the genetics that underlie common diseases. Previously limited to linkage analysis in small families, we are now able to use advanced computational analyses for big datasets. This chapter reviews some of that methodology from classical case-control models and their meta-analysis to genome wide searches. The availability and increasing cost-effectiveness of next generation sequencing is likely to supersede many of the current models.
