This chapter offers a closing reflection on the book. The editors situate urban agriculture practices in the context of contemporary societal challenges and emphasizes the unique role of public space in actualizing the plethora of benefits of urban cultivation to individual and communal well-being of city dwellers. They conclude with a short reflection on the future trajectories for urban agriculture practices in the compact city.
