Ultrasound Analysis Guide: Quantitative Ultrasound

This small chapter presents considerations for performing a good ultrasound examination of the eye and orbit, morphologically (situation, shape, limits and contours) in B-mode and in color Doppler imaging but also to obtain functional information via spectral Doppler (presence of vessels [peak systolic velocity and resistive index]) and quantitative information via standardized echography (reflectivity, attenuation [angle kappa] internal echotexture and kinetic study (consistency, post-movements).
