Inflammatory Lesions
摘要
Formerly called pseudotumors, these frequent lesions are presented rather according to their location: myositis (with involvement of the tendon), dacryoadenitis (with involvement of the two lobes), optic nerve perineuritis, posterior scleritis, blepharitis, or sometimes a true pseudotumor mass. They may be idiopathic or related to a systemic disease. The lesions are firm, low to moderately echogenic, often heterogeneous when chronic due to fibrosis and consistently vascularized, with a resistive index inferior to 0.70.
