Ultrasound of the Posterior Segment

Assessment of the posterior segment is one of the most frequent indications for diagnostic ultrasound. The review must be systematic and comprehensive. One must successively analyze the vitreous, which plays a major role in many retinal conditions. Its role is diagnostic and also pathogenic and prognostic.
