Models of Goal Programming and R Programming to Earmark Acreage
摘要
The third main problem of the Indian economy is decreasing agriculture production. The contribution of agriculture to India is gradually decreasing because of industrialization, civilization, erratic monsoon, water scarcity, nonavailability of quality seed, fertilizers, improper nonscientific land utilization, and so on. We considered 7 objectives and developed goal programming (GP) model with 21 variables. This GP model is run by both linear programming solver and R programming. We compared results of both the software, and the consequences are identical. This chapter helps directly or indirectly to boost the economic contribution of agriculture, specifically rice crop, to the state GDP.
